Aviation Adventures

During 2013 & 2014 I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to share my passion for aviation as the host of a local television show all about aviation. The project started during the preparations for the annual 2012 Mansfield Airport Fly-In event. The cable access station manager for the Mansfield channel visited the airport one day and wanted to have someone come over and record a promotional video for the event. Working with a teleprompter for the first time was pretty interesting…

This positive experience evolved into a conversation about a possible show on aviation, something that would be different from the line up of shows the channel offered at the time. Many years before the channel had run a couple of aviation-related shows about the airport and flight school, which received positive reviews and feedback. We decided this would be a great way to promote the airport and potentially encourage members of the community to start flight lessons while giving the channel something different from the existing line up of shows. Over the course of 2013 and 2014 we filmed a variety of episodes that aired many times, all were aimed at developing interest amongst the Mansfield, MA community in their local airport and flying.

Just the other day I realized that this content, mostly, was not linked to ReviewBeforeFlight and thus not available through the blog. I was surprised by this as I thought I had included the archive of Aviation Adventures episodes on the site at some point previously. In order to make this content available, I have created a new page, which you can find in the header menu, “TV Archive” which includes a link to each episode on YouTube, the date published and a short description for each episode of Aviation Adventures. While the content is older now, it still includes a great deal of valuable, still true information aimed to promote aviation and encourage involvement in the aviation industry and the local airport community.

You can find the full details on the “TV Archive” page, please check it out!
